Dr. Davis is the admin of a Facebook group devoted to the discussion of monarch butterflies and the science and evidence around their biology and conservation

Dr. Davis' research has garnered considerable media coverage in the last 10 years, including articles in the New York Times, National Geographic, Scientific American, Smithsonian Magazine, USA Today, People Magazine, CNN, and even television segments in The Today Show, FoxNews, NBC News, and others.

In 2023, Dr. Davis was the recipient of the University of Georgia's first Research Communications Award, because of his outreach and media coverage
